The Lhasa Apso is an ancient, non-sporting toy breed originating from Tibet, where it served as a sacred sentinel in palaces and monasteries for over 1,000 years. Known as "Abso Seng Kye" meaning "Bark Lion Sentinel Dog," this breed was considered sacred and believed to bring good luck and prosperity.
